Our relationship with the European Union is understandably the defining issue of the moment. Residents in Altrincham and Sale West voted overwhelmingly to Remain in the EU, and a future Labour Government would deliver a Second Referendum if they were to win any forthcoming General Election.

Andrew said: “I want to be very clear with residents about my position on the EU. I know that not everyone will agree with me but I think it is important to be honest. I voted Remain in 2016 and campaigned to stay in the European Union. I would do so again in any Second Referendum because I believe passionately that this is in the best interests of our economy, our environment and our national security.”

“I am delighted that a future Labour Government would offer people a final say. I believe this is the best way to settle the issue once and for all and will allow us to bring the country back together so that we can focus on critical issues such as police and NHS funding, education, climate change and tackling the housing crisis.”
